UAdeC Calls Doctors to Apply for the Specialization in Pediatrics

The Faculty of Medicine in our Torreón Regional Campus in a joint effort with Hospital Infantil Universitario of the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, summon graduate medical doctors to participate in the resident selection process for the Specialization in Pediatrics, starting in March 2021.

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements: Original proof of the National Examination of Applicants to Medical Residences ENARM, application letter, birth certificate, professional license, Transcript of Records, Resume, proof of address, valid ID, CURP and project of life letter.

All the registration documents will be received from November 2020 to February 2021. The program lasts 3 years and the study plan includes the guidelines and specifications established by the Unique Program for Medical Specialties (PUEM).

During the first year, students will learn about medical and ambulatory pediatrics, social pediatrics, nutrition, hydroelectrolyte and acid-base disorders, infectology, neonatology, accidents and poisonings, and pediatric surgery; while in the second year they will work in areas such as dermatology, neurology, pulmonology and cardiology.

They will also delve into fields of gastroenterology, nephrology, urology, pediatric psychiatry, hematology and intensive therapy. For the end of the third year, they will focus on endocrinology, oncology, immune-rheumatology, otorhinolaryngology, genetics, orthopedics, traumatology and ophthalmology.
